The Privy Council Office comprises 7 management units, the heads of whom all sit on the Departmental Management Board chaired by the Clerk of the Council, who is the Accounting Officer. They are listed below and their functions are described in detail in the body of the PCO Department Plan:
• The Privy Council Secretariat, responsible for ensuring that the interdepartmental business that falls to Ministers as Privy Counsellors is despatched efficiently;
• Corporate Services, responsible for facilities Management, Finance and Human Resources;
• The Office of the Judicial Committee, which provides the court office for the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, a fully-fledged court with a number of special jurisdictions;
• The Office of the Lord President and Leader of the House of Lords, which provides administrative and policy support to the Leader;
• The Office of the Leader of the House of Commons, which provides the same functions for the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Commons;
• The Office of the Government Chief Whip (Commons), which supports the Chief Whip in securing the Government's business programme in the Commons; and
• The Office of the Government Chief Whip (Lords), which supports the Government Chief Whip and other Lords Whips, and advises the Leader of the Lords on Parliamentary matters.
